The Park & Recreation Commission of the City of Irwindale met in regular adjourned
session at the above time and place.
ROLL CALL Present: Commissioners: Chico, Orosco, Fraijo, Grijalva and
Chairman Diaz. (Com. Fraijo 15 minutes late).
Also present: Recreation Director Dennis DeGruccio and Deputy
City Clerk Arline Miranda.
COMMISSIONER This item was continued until the next meeting in April.
REORGANIZATION
APPROVAL OF Minutes of February 2, 1994 were approved as presented.
MINUTES MOTION: Commissioner Grijalva
SECOND: Commissioner Chico
EXTERNAL Copy of Ordinance No. 482 pertaining to Commissioners salaries
COMMUNICATIONS was received and filed.
RECREATION Director DeGruccio stated the community notices had been well
DIRECTOR received and the trip to Santa Anita Race Track had been sold out.
The baseball camp still needs more sign ups, but looks promising.
The Mariachi Concert will be at the Hollywood Bowl June 26th.
This has been one of the most popular events. Discussion of the
playground equipment brought on a request by the Commissioners
for Director DeGruccio to get at least two proposals from different
vendors to be presented at the next meeting. The Commissioners
also requested, if it was possible, to have the vendors exhibit some
of their playground equipment at the meeting.
EXCUSED FROM Deputy City Clerk Arline Miranda received permission to be
MEETING excused from meeting to attend a wake. Excused at 7:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further items for discussion, meeting was adjourned
at 7:30 p.m. to April 6., 1994 at 6:00 p.m..
