A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE ADMINISTERING AGENCY -
FEDERAL MASTER AGREEMENT NO. 07-5345R AND PROGRAM
SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT NO. 002-N TO THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Irwindale was awarded a $281,520 Highway Safety
Improvement Program (HSIP) grant to install a pedestrian signal crossing with advance
warning flashing yellow beacons on Arrow Highway at the Santa Fe Dam Bike Trail
crossing; and
WHEREAS, this project will enhance the safe crossing of pedestrians and
bicyclists at the Santa Fe Dam Bike Trail entrance on Arrow Highway; and
WHEREAS, the federal funds provided for this project through this HSIP grant
amount to $281,520, with the City's match of $31,280; and
WHEREAS, the fully executed Administering Agency -Federal Master
Agreement No. 07-5345R and Program Supplement Agreement No. 002-N are
required to request reimbursement from the federal funds and proceed with the
design of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Irwindale City Council
does hereby authorize the City Manager and/or his designee to execute and
submit the Administering Agency -Federal Master Agreement No. 07-5345R and
Program Supplement Agreement No. 002-N to the California Department of
Transportation on behalf of the City of Irwindale.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 10th day of November 2008.
