BOOTHS There was some discussion
regarding the booths that are
used at the fiestas. Mr.
Posada is still trying to
come up with ideas that will
be more cost effective than
with the booths are that are
currently used by the City.
The cost in assembling these
booths is time consuming and
expensive.
One idea staff is
considering, is to borrow or
rent booths from Our Lady of

Guadalupe Church. Commissioner
Fraijo asked who would do the
assembling of these booths?
Rod answered that the City
crew would.
Another idea considered, was
to look into the cost for
renting booths from a rental
company or to check with the
`farmers markets' to see what
they use.
A decision was made to rent
some booths from the church,
(for booths that do not need
a screen) and to use the
City's own booths for the
rest of the clubs.
Mr. Posada informed the
Commission that the streets
around the park would be
receiving an over -lay of new
asphalt. This will take
approximately about a week
and will cause some
inconvenience because there
can be no cars parked in the
street. His department will
need the cooperation of the
recreation department
personnel with their help in
directing the public into the
parking lots. The residents
will be notified by the
contractors. This project of
over -laying will take place
June 16th through June 20tH
Mr. Posada reported that the
drinking fountains had been
installed and he expressed
his opinion that he thought
they were very nice looking.
He tested one and said he

job.

Vice -Chairperson Zepeda
excused her.
Commissioner Chico informed
the Commission that on the
lasting fishing trip there
had been no rotation on the
fishing spots on the boat.

pays the same, people should
take turns so everyone will

the staff should be aware of
this so they can consider it
for the next trip.
