COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
ORDINANCE NO. 6
AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING INTOXICATED PERSONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. It shall be unlawful for any intox-
icated person or any person in an intoxicated condition,
wilfully to appear, remain or be in or on any public
highway, street, alley, way, park, playground or public
place in the City of Irwindale, whether such person is or
is not in or upon any automobile, street or interurban
car, vehicle or conveyance.
SECTION II. An intoxicated person or a person
in an intoxicated condition shall not wilfully appear,
remain, or be in or on any place open to public view or
in any store, railroad depot, stadium, or other place to
which the public is admitted or invited.
SECTION III. An intoxicated person or a person
in an intoxicated condition shall not wilfully appear,
remain, or be in or on any private premises or in any
private house to the annoyance of any other person.
SECTION IV. The City of Irwindale was Incorpor-
ated on August 6, 1957, and the City Council thereof has
not yet adopted any legislation with respect to the fore-
going matters, which affect the peace, health, and safety
of the residents of the City of Irwindale. This Ordinance
is, therefore, required for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall
take effect immediately upon the passage thereof.
SECTION V. This Ordinance shall take immediate
effect after the date of its adoption and the same shall
be posted in three public places within the City Limits
of the City of Irwindale as prescribed by Resolution No.
57-1.

adopted at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
6th day of August, 1957, by the following vote:

MIKE MARTINEZ, Being first duly sworn, deposes and says;
That he is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned
a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen
(18) years and competent to be a witness herein.
On August 7, 1957, he securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue
(3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway
and Irwindale Avenue
a copy of Ordinance No. 6 of the City of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
