CITY OF IRWINDALE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
ORDINANCE NO. 9
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Reference is hereby made to Ordinance
No. 6544 of the County of Los Angeles, known as "The Traffic
Ordinance," being an ordinance regulating traffic upon
public highways and repealing Ordinances Nos. 2177, 3549,
3922, and 6383 of said County.
SECTION II. Said County Ordinance No. 6544,
known as "The Traffic Ordinance,' is hereby adopted and
approved as Ordinance No. 9 of the City of Irwindale.
SECTION III. The City of Irwindale was incorp-
orated on August 6, 1957, and the City Council thereof
has not yet adopted any legislation with respect to the
foregoing matters, which affect the peace, health, and safety
of the residents of the City of Irwindale. This Ordinance
is, therefore, required for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety, and the same
shall take effect immediately upon the passage thereof.
SECTION IV. This Ordinance shall take imme-
diate effect after the date of its adoption and the same
shall be posted in three public places within the City
Limits of the City of Irwindale, California, as prescribed
by Resolution No. 57-1

MIKE MARTINEZ, being first duly sworn, deposes
That he is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned
a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen
(18) years and competent to be a witness herein.
On August 7, 1957, he securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue
(3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and
Irwindale Avenue
a copy of Ordinance No. 9 of the City of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
