HomeMy WebLinkAbout026127 CITY OF IRWINDALE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 25 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN CITY FUNDS. r- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Revolvin Fund. There is hereby es- tablished a Revolving and n the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500), to be established, maintained, and re- plenished out of the General Fund of the City, and there shall be deposited in said Revolving Fund from said General Fund the sum of $500,00. SECTION 1.1. Expenditures. All moneys in said Fund shall be expended exclusively for municipal purposes. SECTION 1.2. Limit of Expenditures. No single expenditure out of said Fund s�ia1T exceed the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150), and the expenditures therefrom may be made upon signatures of the Mayor and the City Clerk. SECTION 1.3. Replenishment. Upon presentation to the City Council by t e City Cler of an itemized statement of expenditures out of said Fund, audited and approved by the City Council, the Council shall authorize the reimbursement to said Fund of the amount so audited and approved. SECTION 2. Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund. There is hereby created in the Cit-yTcreasury a special fund to be known as the "Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund." SECTION 2.1. Deposits. All moneys received by the City from the State-'577al�fornia under the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code for the acquisition of real property or interests therein for, or the construc- tion, maintenance or improvement of, streets or highways other than State highways shall be paid into said Fund. SECTION 2,2. Expenditures. All moneys in said Fund shall be expended exclus vely or the purposes auth- orized by, and subject to, all of the provisions of Article 5, Chapter 1, Division 1 of the Streets and Highways Code. SECTION 3. Cash Bond Fund. A special fund is here- by created in the City treasury -owe known as the "Cash Bond Fund" into which fund shall be deposited all cash bonds accepted by the City Council pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance or any other ordinance or resolution of said City, under the terms of which a cash bond is deposited with the City guaranteeing the 128 faithful performance of any agreement with the City. Funds may be withdrawn from said Cash Bond Fund only upon warrant drawn and approved in the normal manner and upon certification by the proper officer having super- vision of the performance of such agreement as to the partial completion or final completion and acceptance of the work to be performed under any such agreement. SECTION 4. �Urrnc�This ordinance is hereby designated to be an orr innanee for the immediate preser- vation of the public peace and safety, and the facts constituting its urgency are specified as follows: The City of Irwindale was incorporated on August 6, 1957, and it is immediately essential to the public interest, welfare, and affairs of the City of Irwindale that all public funds and moneys be handled in the manner herein provided. SECTION 5. Effective Date and Publication. This ordinance shall take immediate =e ec after t e date of its adoption, and the same shall be posted in three public places within the city limits of the City of Irwindale as prescribed by Resolution No. 57-1. ADOPTED this 3rd day of September, 1957. On September 4, 1957, he securely and conspic- uously posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit: (1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue (2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue (3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and Irwindale Avenue a copy of Ordinance No. 26 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof.
