ORDINANCE NO. 36
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1, ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR CITY COUNCIL
MEETINGS.°
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION I. There shall be one regu-
lar meeting of the City Council during each
calendar month and such meeting shall be held
on the third Monday thereof, at the hour of
7:30 o'clock P.M., provided, however, that if
the date of any such regular meeting falls on
a holiday, said regular meeting shall be held
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the next
succeeding day which is not a holiday. Any such
regular meeting may be adjourned from time to
time. Special meetings may be called in the
manner provided by State Law."
SECTION 2. Publication and Effective Date.
This ordinance shall take effect thirtydays affe—rthe
date of its adoption and, prior to the expiration of
fifteen days from the passage thereof, shall be posted
in three public places within the city limits of the
City of Irwindale, as prescribed by Resolution No. 57-1.

I, MERLE H. MATHESON.. City Clerk of the City of
Irwindale, do hereby certify that the above Ordinance
No. 36 was regularly introduced and placed upon its first
reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on the
18th day of November, 1957. That not less than 5 days
thereafter said ordinance was duly adopted and passed
at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 25th day
of November, 1957, by the following vote:
Ayes BARBOSA, DIAZ, MARTINEZ, MIRANDA, ORNELAS I%
Noes NONE Absent
NONE
I further certify that said ordinance was there-
upon signed by the Mayor of the City of Irwindale.

M. H. MATHESON.. being first duly sworn, deposes
and says;
That he is the City Clerk of the City of Irwin-
dale, California, and is and was at all times herein
mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of
eighteen (18) years and competent to be a witness herein.
On November 26, 1957, he securely and conspic-
uously posted at each of the public places in said city,
to wit:
(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue
(3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and
Irwindale Avenue
a copy of Ordinance No. 36 of the city of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
