CITY OF IRWINDALE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
ORDINANCE NO. 44
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE.
DECLARING ITS INTENTION AND DESIRE TO HAVE CERTAIN TERRITORY
WITHIN ITS BOUNDARIES ANNEXED TO THE CONSOLIDATED COUNTY
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Irwindale
hereby finds that said City has within it certain territory
hereinafter described which is adjacent to the Consolidated
County Fire Protection District, and that the boundaries of
said territory as hereinafter set froth were previously app-
roved for description by the County Boundary Commission on
October 9, 1957. The City Council further finds that on
November 19, 1957, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervi-
sors by order approved the proposed annexation of said terr-
itory as hereinafter described located within the boundaries
of the City of Irwindale, to the Consolidated County Fire
Protection District pursuant to a previous request of the
City Council of the City of Irwindale by its Resolution
No. 57-49.
SECTION 2. That said boundaries of said territory en-
tirely within the City of Irwindale and proposed to be
annexed to the Consolidated County Fire Protection District
are as follows:

Parcel No. 2A
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot B of
Tract No. 1916, as shown on map recorded in Book 21,
page 66 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Los Angeles; thence southerly along the bound-
ary of Consolidated County Fire Protection District, as
same existed on September 18, 1957, and following the
same in all its various courses to the boundary of the
City of Irwindale, as same existed on said date; thence
westerly along said last mentioned boundary and follow-
ing the same in all its various courses to the boundary
of said district; thence southwesterly along said last
mentioned boundary and following the same in all its
various courses to the point of beginning.
Excepting therefrom that portion thereof within the
boundary of Consolidated County Fire Protection District,
as same existed on September 18, 1957.
Containing: 2.110 square miles.

Beginning at the intersection of the boundary of the
City of Irwindale, as same existed on September 18,
1957, with the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of Irwindale Avenue (in Gladstone Street), as
shown on map recorded in Book 3842, pages 10 and 11
of Deeds, in the office of the Recorder of the County
of Los Angeles; thence southerly along the boundary
of Consolidated County Fire Protection District, as
same existed on said date, and following the same in
all its various courses to the boundary of said city;
thence westerly along said last mentioned boundary
to the point of beginning.
Containing: 0.009 square miles.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Irwindale
by and on behalf of said City hereby declares it intention
and desire to have said territory embraced and included with-
in said district, and said City does hereby declare that said
territory as described be annexed to said District.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption and, prior to the expiration
of fifteen days from the passage thereof, shall be posted
in three public places within the city limits of the City
of Irwindale, as prescribed by Resolution No. 57-1.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to file a certified
copy of this ordinance with the Secretary of State, with in-
structions to the Secretary of State to hold this ordinance
thirty days from the date of the passage of said ordinance and
to thereafter file the same and report to the City Clerk
when it was filed; and the City Clerk is further directed
to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the Board
of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, the county within
which said city and territory are located.
ADOPTED this 20 day of January, 1958.

I, MAXINE M. HORST, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
do hereby certify that the above Ordinance No. 44 was reg-
ularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 13 day of January,
1958. That not less than 5 days thereafter said ordinance
was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 20 day of January, 1958, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:

Noes NONE Absent NONE
I further certify that said ordinance was thereupon
signed by the Mayor of the City of Irwindale.

MARINE M. HORST, being first duly sworn, deposes
That she is the City Clerk of the City of Irwin-
dale, California, and is and was at all times herein men-
tioned a citizen of the United States over the age of
eighteen (18) years and competent to be a witness herein.
On January 21, 1958, she securely and con-
spicuously posted at each of the public places in said
city, to wit:
(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue
(3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and
Irwindale Avenue
a copy of Ordinance No. 44 of the city of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
