CODE AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE AS A PART THEREOF, PURSUANT TO

tation, and in Storage under Various Conditions, November 10,

SECTION 2. Adoption. There is hereby adopted as the Fire
Code of the City o rw ndale, except as is hereafter amended,
Ordinance No. 7274 of the County of Los Angeles and all of the
Codes adopted therein by reference and set forth in SECTION 1
above, as said Ordinance No. 7274 existed on March 17, 1958•
SECTION 3. Substitution. Wherever the words "Board of
Supervisors" appeared Ordinance No. 7274 the words
"City Council of the City of Irwindale" shall be substituted
therefor. The Chief of the Fire Department and the Fire Depart-
ment officers designated in said Ordinance No. 7274 shall be
deemed to be the Chief of the Fire Department and Fire Depart-
ment officers of the City of Irwindale so long as a contractual
relationship exists between the City and County, whereby the
County of Los Angeles, through its officers and employees,
provides fire protection service for the City of Irwindale.
SECTION 4. Same. Said Ordinance No. 7274 of the County
of Los Angeles, ae biereinabove adopted, is amended as follows:
(a) Section 1.01 is amended by striking therefrom
the words "County of Los Angeles" and by substituting
therefor the words "City of Irwindale,"
(b) Wherever in said Ordinance No. 7274, other
than in Section 1.01 thereof, reference is made to the
unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, such area
shall be deemed to include in its true geographical
location the area of the City of Irwindale.
SECTION 5. Previous Permits. Any permit heretofore
issued by the County of Loa Angeles or the City of Irwindale,
pursuant to the Fire Prevention Code of said County or Ordi-
nance No. 5 of said City for work within the territorial limits
of the City of Irwindale, shall remain in full force and effect
according to its terms.
SECTION 6. Penalties. Every person violating any provi-
sion of this Ordinance or of any permit, license or exception
granted hereunder is guilty of a misdemeanor. Upon conviction
thereof he shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 or
by imprisonment in the County Jail for not to exceed six (6)
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each separate
day, or any portion thereof, during which any violation of this
Ordinance occurs or continues, constitutes a separate offense,
and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable as herein
provided.
SECTION 7. Repeal of Conflicting Ordinance. Ordinance
No. 5 of the City o�n'id a is ere y repealed, and all
other Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts of Ordinances and
Resolutions in conflict herewith, are repealed.

SECTION 8. Severability. If any section, subsection,
sentence, clause, pp ra�ortion of this Ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person, firm, corporation or circum-
stance, is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional
by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
decision athall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this Ordinance. The Council of the City of Irwindale hereby
declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one of more section, subsection,
sentence, clause, phrase or portion be declared invalid or un-
constitutional.
SECTION 9. Vacation Date and Publication. After the -first
reading of the title of this ordinance, a pu Tic hearing shall
be held on said Ordinance pursuant to Sections 50022.1 et se .
of the Government Code of the State of California. This Ordi-
nance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its
adoption and, prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from
the passage thereof, shall be posted in three public places
within the city limits of the City of Irwindale, as prescribed
by Resolution No. 57-1.

at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 21 day of

That she is the Deputy City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned a
citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (18)
years and competent to be a witness herein.
On April 25, 1958, she securely and conspicuously posted
at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
