AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTION 8103 OF THE IRWINDALE
MUNICIPAL CODE, WHICH SAID SECTION RELATES TO
BUILDING PERMITS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 8103 of the Irwindale Municipal Code
hereby is amended to read as follows:
8103. No permit required by any of the provisions of
this chapter shall be issued for the erection, con-
struction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving,
or conversion of any building within the city unless
there be or be made available a water system including
conduits, pipes, hydrants, or other appurtenances for
supplying and distributing the domestic water supply
and with mains of sufficient supply to furnish and
provide adequate water protection to such property and
to meet local neighborhood needs.
Such a permit may be issued provided the applicant
therefor first shall enter into an agreement with the
City to furnish adequate distribution lines for domes-
tic water supply and to provide adequate fire protec-
tion for his property, and, further, shall furnish
concurrently with said agreement a surety bond or cash
bond guaranteeing the installation of the necessary con-
duits, pipes, hydrants, and other appurtenances required.
The amount of such bond shall be determined by the City
Engineer.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause the same to be posted in the manner
required by law.
