AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
AMENDING SECTION 3182 OF THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHICH SAID SECTION RELATES TO MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS.
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3182 of the Irwindale Municipal Code
hereby is amended to read as follows:
3182. Decrease of State Law Maximum Speed. It is hereby
determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic in-
vestigation that the speed permitted by state law outside of
business and residence districts as applicable upon the follow-
ing streets is greater than is reasonable or safe under the
conditions found to exist upon such streets and it is hereby
declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein
set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designa-
ted when signs are erected giving notice thereof:

I, MAXINE HORST, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. PA was
regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the 17th day of November,
1959. That, thereafter, said ordinance was duly approved and
passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 1st day
of December, 1959, by the following vote, to -wit:

That she is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned a
Citizen of the United. States over the age of eighteen (18)
grears and competent to be a witness herein.
On December 2, 1959, she securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to -wit:

(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue
(3) Southwest corner of Arrow Highway and
Irwindale Avenue
a copy of Ordinance No. 82 of the City of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
