HomeMy WebLinkAbout086ORDINANCE NO. 85 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE CONSENTING TO THE INCLUSION OF A PORTION OF IRWINDALE AVENUE IN THE COUNTY SYSTEM OF HIGH- WAYS WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, on March 1, 1960, adopted a resolution including that portion of Irwindale Avenue between Queenside Drive and approximately 200 feet northerly of Ballantine Place within the system of highways of Los Angeles County, all of said street so designated being within the �^ city limits of the City of Irwindale; and WHEREAS, said action was taken pursuant to Sections 1700 through 170+ of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- fornia; and WHEREAS, before such inclusion can be completed, the City Council of the City of Irwindale must consent thereto; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the authority of Section 1701 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Irwindale consents to the establish- ment of that portion of Irwindale Avenue between Queenside Drive and approximately 200 feet northerly of Ballantine Place as a part of the County of Los Angeles highways system. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance, shall cause the same to be posted in the manner required by law, and shall cause a certified copy of said ordinance to be sent to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, the County Road Commissioner of Los Angeles County, and Mr. Robert Heuer, Director of the Department of Real Estate Management for the County of Los Angeles. That, there- after, said ordinance was duly approved and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 5 daycf April , 1560, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diaz, Martinez, Miranda, Mayor Ornelas. NOES: Councilmen None ABSENT: Councilmen Councilwoman Silva —r City Clerk STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES) SS CITY OF IRWINDALE ) MAXINE HORST, being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That she is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (18) years and competent to be a witness herein. On April 11, 1960, she securely and conspicuously posted at each of the public places in said city, to -wit: (1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue (2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue (3) Door of storage room located in Irwindale Park a copy of Ordinance No. 85 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof. u t Dated: April ll, 1960.
