ORDINANCE NO. 94
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
AMENDING SECTION 9260 OF ARTICLE IX OF
THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE.
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 9260 of Article IX of the Irwindale
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 9260: Fees and Deposits
(a) For the purposes of defraying the expenses in-
volved in connection with any application (or petition)
required in this Ordinance, the City Council of the
City of Irwindale shall establish by Resolution, rates
to be charged by the City to applicants for zone
changes, zone exceptions, special permits, sub-
divisions, and plot plans.
(b) In addition to the required filing fee prescribed
by said Resolution of said City Council, the applicant
(or petitioner) shall deposit with the City's agent,
such sum as said agent shall estimate to be ample as
provided by State law or by Ordinance, and if notice
is also given by posting, such additional sum as said
agent deems necessary and ample to cover the cost of
such posting."
SECTION 2. The City of Irwindale was incorporated as
a General Law City of the State of California on the 6th day of
August, 1957, and has not yet completed restudy of its Zoning
Ordinance, and as a temporary measure continues to operate under
Ordinance No. 41, as amended, which Ordinance incorporates the
provisions of the Los Angeles County Zoning Ordinance (Los
Angeles County Ordinance No. 1494.)
SECTION 3. The cost of processing applications and
petitions now exceeds the fees provided therein by the Zoning
Ordinance the City adopted following its incorporation.
Therefore, in order to process zone changes, zone exceptions,
special permits, sub -divisions and plot plans to protect the
health, welfare and safety provided for in these measures, it
is necessary and the City Council hereby determines it is
necessary under. Section 36937 of the California Government
Code, that this Ordinance take effect immediately.
SECTION 4. Publication. The Mayor shall sign this
Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest to same, and the
same shall be posted immediately thereafter in three (3)
public places within the City Limits of the City of Irwindale,
as prescribed by Resolution No. 57-1.

Irwindale do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance
No. 94 was regularly introduced and placed upon its first
reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on the
15th day of November, 1960. That thereafter, said Ordinance
was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 5th Day of December, 1960, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen: L. Silva., S. Diaz, A. Tapia,
R. Sreceda and Mayor Garcia.
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:
Councilmen: None

JAMES M. MCLEASI, being first duly sworn, deposes
That he is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale;
C"lifornia, and is and was at all times herein mertioned a
citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (1.8)
years and competent to be a witness herein.
On December 7, 1.960, he securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to -wit:
(1) 5140 North Irwindale Avenue;
(2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue:
(3) Door of storage room located in Irwindale Park;
a copy of Ordinance No. 94 of the City of Irwindale,being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
