HomeMy WebLinkAbout113ORDINANCE NO. 113 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE ACCEPTING THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 13522 OF THE PENAL CODE RELATING TO TRAINING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Irwindale declares that it desires that the Police Department of the City of Irwindale qualify to received aid from the State of California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 13522 of said Chapter 1, the City of Irwindale, while receiving aid from the State of California pursuant to said Chapter 1 will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.. SECTION 3. Publication. The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the same shall be posted immediately thereafter in three (3) public places within the City Limits of the City of Irwindale, as prescribed by Resolution. YOUNG, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 113 was regularly introduced and placed upon its first reading at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council on the 28th day of May, 1962. That, thereafter said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of June, 1962, by the following vote: to -wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN: NOES: ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: COUNCIL] Breceda, Miranda, Martinez, Sulzer & Diaz. Young, being first duly sworn, deposes and says; That she is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (18) years and competent to be a witness herein. On May 1, 1962, she securely and conspicuously posted at each of the public places in said City, to -wit;. (1) 5140 Irwindale Avenue, (2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue, and (3) at or near the door of the Council Chambers, 5050 North Irwindale Avenue, a copy of Ordinance 113 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects tha same as that attached hereto and made apart hereof.
