HomeMy WebLinkAbout126ORDINANCE NO. 126 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL DEFENSE AND DISASTER COUNCIL FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 1962-63 FISCAL YEAR. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Irwindale hereby considers it to be in the best interests of the City of Irwindale that a budget be created for the Civil Defense and Disaster Council pursuant to the recommendations of the Chairman and Director of Civil Defense for the City of Irwindale. SECTION 2. For the remainder of the 1962-63 fiscal year ending June 30, 1963, the f9llowing,account, title, number, sub -numbers and estimated expenditures, as set forth in Exhibits A and B attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set forth in full at this point, are hereby approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Irwindale and made a part of the 1962-63 budget, said funds to be appropriated out out of the unexpended general fund. SECTION 3. The Mayer shall sign .this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest to same, and the same shall be posted immediately thereafter in three places within the City Limits -of the City of Irwindale, as prescribed by Resolution . Young, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 126 , was regularly intooduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on March 18, 1963. That, thereafterr, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 1st day of April, 1963, by the following vote of the Council: to -wit; AYES: COUNCILMEN: Breceda, Miranda, Martinez, Sulzer and Mayor Diaz. Young, being first duly sworn, deposes and says; That she is the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (18) years and competent to be a witness _ - herein. On April 2, 1963, she securely and conspicuously posted at each of the public places in said City, to -wit; (1) 16034 Calle de Norte; (2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue; and (3) At or near the door of the Council Chambers, 5050 No. Irwindale Avenue, a copy of Ordinance No, 126 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof, Dated: April 2, 1963. Council of the Irwindale, Ca of EXHIBJ ORDINA CIVIL DEFENSE Civil Defense and Disaster Council has been established to provide for the preparation and carrying out of plans for the protection of persons and property within this city in the event of disaster, and to provide for the coordination of the Civil Defense and Disaster functions of this city with all other public agencies and affected private persons, corporations and organizations. Any expenditures made in connection with such civil defense and disaster activities, including mutual aid activities, shall be deemed conclusively to be for the direct protection and benefit of the inhabitants and property of the City of Irwindale.
