HomeMy WebLinkAbout127ORDINANCE NO. 127 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FUND BALANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF POLICE HELMETS AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMMEDIATE ENACTMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE. AS FOLLOWS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN SECTION 1: The 1962-63 Irwindale budget as adopted by Ordinance No. 114 is hereby amended to appropriate $612.50 from the unanppropriated fund balance to account #21.29 under Police Department for the specific purpose of purchasing 25 police helmets. SECTION 2: The City Council declares this ordinance to be an emergency ordinance for the immediate enactment hereto, and that the same is necessary to the public health, safety and welfare, in order to provide the best possible safety equipment for the Irwindale Police Department immediately. SECTION 3: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall attest to same, and the same shall be posted immediately thereafter in three (3) public places within the City Limits of the City of Irwindale, as prescribed by Resolution No..60-8. That, thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a Regular meeting of the City Council on the 15th day of April, 1963, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen: Breceda, Miranda, Martinez, Sulzer & Diaz. On April 16, 1963, she securely and conspicuously posted at each of the public places in said city, to -wit; (1) 16034 Calle de Norte; (2) Post Office on Irwindale Avenue; and (3) At or near the door of the Council Chambers, 5050 No. Irwindale Avenue, a copy of Ordinance No. 127 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof.
