AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE,
CALIFORNIA CONSENTING TO ESTABLISHMENT
OF A PORTION OF PECK ROAD WITHIN SAID
CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF COUNTY
HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN:
WHEREAS, the City Council did on July 30, 1964, duly adopt
a resolution declaring Peck Road between Sawpit Wash to 800 feet
south of Sawpit Wash, as a part of the system of highways,of the
County of Los Angeles, all as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704
inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, and
WNMAS, said City Council of the City of Irwindale by said
resolution requested this Council to give its consent to improve
said road within said portion descttbed above;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Irwindale
does ordian as follows:
SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Highway System.
The City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of Peck
Road between Sawpit Wash to 800 feet south of Sawpit Wash as part
of the system of.highways of,the County of Los Angeles as provided
in Sections 1700 to 1704, inclusive, of the Streets and Hikllways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. Improvements of Road. Consent is hereby given
for the improvement of the above described road by the County of
Los Angeles, in conformity with its standard plans and specifications
for such a road, or such other plans and specifications as may be
approved by this City Council.
SECTION 3. Certification to County. The City Clerk is hereby
directed to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Clerk
of the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall go into effect
and be in full force and operation from and after thirty '(30) days
after its final passage and adoption.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in
the book of original ordinances of said City; shall crake a minute
of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting
at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall within fifteen
days after the passage and adoption thereof cause the same to be
posted in three public places in said City, to wit:
16034 Calle De Norte;
Post Office on Irwindale Avenue; and
At or near the door of the Council Chambers,
5050 North Irwindale Avenue.
Passed, Approved and Adopted this 8th day of September, 1964.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 149 was regularly
intvoduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 17th day of August, 1964. That,
thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at an
adjourned meeting of the City Council on the 8th day of September,
1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Martinez, Miranda,
and Breceda.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None

LEE B. YOUNG, being -first duly sworn, deposes and says:
That she is the duly appointed and City Clerk of the City of
Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein mentioned
a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen (18) years
and competent to be witness herein.
On September 10, 1964, she securely and conspicuously posted
at each of the -public places in said City, to wit:
1. 16034 Calle De Forte; �y
2. Post Office on Irwindale Avenue; and
3. At or near the door of the Council Chambers,
5050 North Irwindale Avenue.
a copy of Ordinance No. 149'of the City of Irwindale, being in all
respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof.
