ORDINANCE NO. 153
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
ADDING SECTION qiw&TO THE IRWINDALE
MUNICIPAL CODE, AND THEREBY REZONE
CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM Rl, Al and BI
TO MI IN ZONING CASE NO. 12.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine:
A.) That the zone change hereinafter set forth was recommended
by the Planning Commission; that heretofore the Planning
Commission pursuant�--to the requirements of the Zoning Code and
State Statute,, -,gave due notice and appropriately held�and
conducted a public hearing thereon; that the Planning Commission
has heretofore forwarded its Resolution No. 29 recommending
the change of zone hereinafter set forth.
B) That the City Council upon considering all the files,
records, minutes, exhibits, findings and resolution 6f the
Planning Commission pertinent; determined that each City
Councilman was familiar with the property and the circumstances
surrounding the proposed rezoning; and that in accordance with
Section 640 of the Zoning Code, determined to approve and
adopt the findings and recommendations 66 the Planning Commiss-
ion.
SECTION 2. Section 910`5 is hereby added to the Irwindale
Municipal Code.rezoning the subject property, said Section to read
as follows:

"Section 9105 change of Zoning. The following described
property located at the corner of Los Angeles Street and
Alderson Avenue is hereby changed from Zone Rl. Al. and Bl
to Zone MI. to wit:
Two acres on the southeast corner of and with frontage of
309 feet on Los Angeles Street and 282 feet on Alderson Avenue."
SECTION 3. The City Council further finds that such rezoning
will be in the public interest and is effected for the public's
peace, health, safety and welfare.
SECTION 4. The City

I, Lee B. Young, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale, do
hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance No. 153 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 8th day of September, 1964. That,,
thereafter, said Ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 21st day of September, 1964,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Breceda, Miranda, Martinez, Sulzer
and Mayor Diaz.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.

LEE B. YOUNG, being first duly sworn, deposes and says:
That she is the duly appointed and City Clerk of the city of
Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein
mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen
(18) years and competent to be witness herein.
On September 22, 1964, she securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
1. 16034 Calle De Norte;
2. Post Office on Irwindale Avenue; and
3. At or near the door of the Council Chambers,
5050 North Irwindale Avenue.
a copy of Ordinance No. 153 of the City of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
