ORDINANCE NO. 183
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTION 3182
OF THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE,
RELATING TO MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 3183 of the Irwindale
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3182 Decrease of State Law Maximum
Speed.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of
an engineering and traffic investigation
that the speed permitted by State Law
outside of business and residence districts,
as applicable upon the following streets,
is greater than is reasonable or safe under
the conditions found to exist upon such
streets and it is hereby declared that the
prima facie speed limit shall be as herein
set forth on those streets or parts of
streets herein designated when signs are
erected giving notice thereof:

I, Margaret S. Barbosa, City Clerk of the City of
Irwindale do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No.
183 was regularly introduced, adopted and passed at a
regular meeting of the City Council on the l6thday of
August, 1966, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Diaz, Mike Miranda, Barbosa and
Breceda.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen:, Pat Miranda.

I, Margaret S. Barbosa, being first duly sworn,
deposes and says:
That she is the duly appointed and City Clerk of
the City of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all
times herein mentioned a citizen of the United States over
the age of eighteen (18) years and competent to be witness
herein.
On August 19, 1966, she securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
1. Police Department;
2. Post Office on Calle Del Norte;
3. At or near the door of the Council Chambers,
a copy of Ordinance No. 183 of the City of Irwindale, being
in all respects the same as that attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
