AN ORDINANCE OF TRE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING
SECTIONS 4108 AND 4109 OF THE
IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO LOITERING.

TRE CITY COUNCIL OF TRE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Sections 4108 and 4109 of the Irwindale
Municipal Code are hereby amended to read, respectively, as follows:
"4108. MINORS. LOITERING. No Person
under the age of eighteen years shall loiter
about the public streets, avenues, alleys,
parks or public places between the hour of
10:00 P. M. and the time of sunrise of the
following day when not accompanied by his
parent or legal guardian having legal custody
and control of such person, or by the spouse
of such person over twenty-one years of age.
'Loiter' as used herein shall mean to idle '
to loaf, to stand idly by, or to walk, drive
or ride about aimlessly without lawful purpose."
"4109. PARENTS. LOITERING. No Parent,
guardian or other person having legal care,
custody or control of any person under the age
of eighteen years shall knowing�y allow or
permit such minor to violate any provision of
Section 4108 of this Code; nor shall any such
parent, guardian or other person having care,
custody or control of such minor, knowingly
aid, abet or encourage such minor to violate
any of the provisions of Section 4108 of this
Code."
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance, and cause the same to be posted in
the manner prescribed by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 21st day of February, 1967.

I, Margaret S. Barbosa, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 187 was regularly
introduced, adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 21st day of February, 1967, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Breceda, Diaz, Mike Miranda, Barbosa,
and Pat Miranda.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen: None.

CITY OF IRWINDALE
and says: I. Margaret S. Barbosa, being first duly sworn, deposes
That she is the duly appointed and City Clerk of the
City of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein
mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen
(18) years and competent to be witness herein.
On February 28, 1967, she securely and conspicuously
posted at each of the public places in said City, to wit:
1. Police Department;
2. Post Office on Calle del Norte;
3. At or near the door of the Council Chambers, a copy
of Ordinance No. 187 of the City of Irwindale, being in all respects
the same as that attached hereto and made a part hereof.
