AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING
SECTION 9340 OF THE IRWINDALE
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO
CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS. (URGENCY
ORDINANCE)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDAIE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Irwindale
does hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
(a) That a request has been made for
the establishment of appropriate zoning
regulations to allow oil production facilities
within the City; and
(b) That the present zoning regulations
do not allow such operations; and
(c) That it appears that such usage if
the proper subject matter of a conditional use
permit; and
(d) That the public interest, convenience.
and necessity require the amendment of said zoning
regulations of the City to allow such use in the
manner hereinafter prescribed.
SECTION 2. That Subparagraph 13(a) is hereby added to
Section 9340 of the Irwindale Municipal Code, to read as follows:
"13(a) Oil Production Facilities"
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to
be an urgency ordinance and shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption. That the statement of facts constituting its urgency
is as set forth above.
SECTION 4. That the Planning Commission is hereby
instructed to commence proceedings to consider whether the above
provisions should be made a permenent part of said code.
SECTION 5. That the. City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be posted
in the manner prescribed by law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 228 was regularly
introduced, duly passed as an urgency ordinance at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 15th day of April, 1969, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Breceda, M. Miranda, P. Miranda,
Barbosa and Chico.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.

I, Margaret S. Barbosa, being first duly sworn, deposes
and says; that she is the duly appointed and City Clerk of the City
of Irwindale, California, and is and was at all times herein
mentioned a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen
years and competent to be a witness herein.
On April 22, 1969, she securely and conspicuously posted
at each of the three designated public places in said City.
