ORDINANCE NO. 298
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
AUTHORIZING THE REDEVELOPMENT OF AN AREA
WITHIN THE CITY BY THE CITY OF DUARTE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Duarte is hereby authorized to
undertake and carry out the redevelopment of the area hereinafter
described pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law of the State
of California. In so doing, the City of Duarte shall proceed
pursuant to the provisions of Health and Safety Code Section 33213
and all other applicable provisions of law.
SECTION 2. The area hereinafter described may be added to
and shall form a part of the Davis Addition Project of the City of
Duarte when the required proceedings to accomplish such addition
have been completed.
SECTION 3. The provisions of this ordinance are applicable
to the following territory located within the city limits of the
City of Irwindale:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 10 in the Davis
Addition to Duarte, as shown on the map recorded in Book'll, Page 72
of the Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles; thence easterly along the southerly
boundary of Date Street and its easterly prolongation to the westerly
boundary of Flower Avenue, as shown on said map of the Davis Addition
to Duarte;.thence southerly along said westerly boundary to the
northerly boundary of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley Railroad,
now known as the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad; thence
westerly along said northerly boundary tg1the easterly boundary of
Bowman Avenue, now known as Highland Avenue, as shown on said map of
the Davis Addition to Duarte; thence northerly along said easterly
boundary to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. No redevelopment plan for the area above
described shall be valid or effective until approved by an ordinance
enacted by the City Council of the City of Irwindale.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of January, 1976.

I, Margaret S. Barbosa, City Clerk of the City of Irwindale,
do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance, being
Ordinance No. 298, was approved on first reading at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 8th day of January, 1976,
was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 22nd day
of January, 1976 by the following vote:
