AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 309 OF
THE CITY OF IRWINDALE RELATING TO UTILITIES
TAX
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Based upon the findings and determination of the
Irwindale City Council, Ordinance No. 309 is hereby amended
as follows:
CHAPTER 4. UTILITIES TAX.
6402.1 INDIVIDUAL.EXEMPTIONS.
The tax imposed by this Chapter shall not
apply to any billing or to any charge of
less than $200 per month per meter or
other connection. Said $200 figure shall
be adjusted annually pursuant to the
Los Angeles Area Consumer Price Index.
6402.1.1 SAME APPLICATION.
(a) Any person may apply for and receive
an exemption from such taxes from the
Office of the City Manager upon
presentation of proof, as to any utility
or utilities, that for a 12 month period
there has been no billing or charge per
meter or connection in excess of the
exemption set forth in Section 6402.1.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective with regards
to each individual meter or connection of the first full billing
period after January 1, 1978.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner
prescribed by law.

approved on first reading on the 22nd day of September, 1977,
approved and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of
October, 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Barbosa, Breceda, Michael Miranda, Pat Miranda,
and Mayor Tapia;
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
