AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTION 3200.
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE
"FIRE PREVENTION CODE" AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 236 entitled "Fire Prevention Code
of the City of Irwindale" is hereby amended by adopting that
certain Fire Code as adopted by Ordinance No. 2947 of the County
of Los Angles and amended by Ordinance No. 11,556, August 28, 1977,
entitled Fire Code of the County of Los Angeles," except as herein
provided.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be known as the "Fire Code
of the City of Irwindale" and may be cited as such.
SECTION;3. Three (3) copies of said Ordinance No. 2947 of the
County of Los Angeles, as amended and in effect on August 28, 1977,
together with amendments included herein, have been deposited in
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Irwindale and shall be
at all times maintained by said Clerk for use and examination of
the public.
SECTION 4. Section 3200 of the Irwindale Municipal Code is
hereby deleted in the following adoption. In its place instead:
"3200. Adoption of Los Angeles County Ordinance No. 2947.
Subject to the changes and amendments hereinafter
set f6rth in this Part, that certain Ordinance of
the County of Los Angeles, being Ordinance No. 2947
as amended by Ordinance No. 11,556, three (3) printed
copies of which were ordered filed by the City Council
and actually have been filed in the Office of the
City Clerk of said City, and which as so on file,
hereby are referrdd to and, by this reference,
expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof
as fully and for all intents and purposes as though
set forth herein at length, shall be, regulations,
standards, provisions, and conditions and other
matters therein set forth, as the standards,
provisions, and conditions to be observed within the
City of Irwindale".
SECTION 5. The City Council hereby declares that it would
have passed this Ordinance sentence by sentence, and does hereby
declare that the provisions of this Ordinance are severable, and
if, for any reason any sentence of this Ordinance shall be held
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining parts of this Ordinance.
9 SECTION 6. In the event of any conflict between the Fire
I Prevention Code of the City of Irwindale and the Fire Code of the
County of Los Angeles, the Fire Prevention Code of the City Of
Irwindale shall prevail.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk is directed to certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and cause same to be posted in three (3)
public places within the City of Irwindale.
SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days
after its final passage.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 324 was
approved on first reading on the 25th day of May, 1978, approved
and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 8th of June, 1978,
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Barbosa, Breceda, Michael Miranda,
Pat Miranda, and Mayor Tapia
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
