ORDINANCE NO. 358
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
AMENDING THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY
RELATING TO SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Sub' -Section A, of Section 17.16.020, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
A. Single -Family dwellings (including (1) traditional built
in-place structure; (2) modulars or factory constructed
dwellings, certified under the National Home Construction
and Safety Standard Ace of 1974, with approved sticker
attached, and placed on full, approved foundations and
permanently attached thereto; and (3) move -on homes
consisting of relocated structures on a foundation on
which it is intended to stand permanently).
SECTION 2. The following Section 17.16.121 is hereby added to
the zoning code.
17.16.121. Building Standards. The following standards
shall apply to all structure or additions thereto constructed
or installed after July 1, 1981;
(1) Roof, pressure treated, fire retardant
wood shake or shingle, or as determined by
the Building Official.
(2) Eaves, minimum 16 inch eave projection,
unless otherwise approved by the Planning
Commission.
(3) Exterior Wall Treatment
(a) Materials, wood siding, stucco, brick,
brick veneer, or as approved by the Planning
Commission must be brought down to within
six inches of the finish grade with the
same material as siding. (Metal siding on
new dwellings not permitted).
(b) Color - natural earth tones, white
with complimentary and/or harmonious trim
color compatible with standards of adjacent
developments, or as approved by the Planning
Commission.
(c) Wall Color, texture and material shall
be consistent with and be harmonized with
roofing material.
SECTION 3• The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 1981.

No. 358, was approved on first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 24th day of September, 1981, approved
and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of October,
1981, by the following vote:

Miranda and Mayor Tapia
