AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING
CHAPTER 17.52 OF THE IRWINDALE
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO USES
REQUIRING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Based on the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, Section 17.52.080 is hereby added to the M-1 Light
Manufacturing Zone, and is to read as follows:
"17.52.080 Uses Requiring a conditional use permit.
Because of considerations of smoke, fumes, dust, odor,
vibration or hazard, the establishment or operation of
the following uses in the M-1 zone shall not be permitted
unless a conditional use permit authorizing such use has
been granted:
1. Any process that uses radio -active material
2. Any process using chemically -reactive or
toxic substance
3. Explosives - manufacture or storage"
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Irwindale shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be posted and
published as required by law.
PASSED, APPROVED and adopted this 22nd day of May, 1986.

399, was introduced at a regular meeting held May 22, 1986, and
was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular
meeting held on the 22nd day of May, 1986, by the following vote
of the Council.

Mayor Castellanos
