AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING
CHAPTER 17 OF THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO SCREENING OF
MECHANICAL DEVICES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Based on the recommendation of the Planning Commission,
Sections 17.48.020, 17.52.020 and 17.56.030 (limitations on permitting
uses in C -M, M-1 and M-2 zones) is hereby added to read as follows:
"Mechanical Devices. All mechanical heating, air-
conditioning, refrigeration or similar devices,
maintained and operated on the exterior of buildings
located in the C -M, M-1 and M-2 zones, shall be en-
closed and shall be designed, installed, operated
and maintained in such a manner as to eliminate
unsightliness, noise, smoke, dust, etc., which would
otherwise cause an interference with adjacent C -M,
M-1 and M-2 zoned properties.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Irwindale shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be posted and
published as required by law.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 1986.

was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular
1 meeting held on the 22nd day of May, 1986, by the following vote
of the Council.
