Home My WebLink About447"REVISED COPY" ORDINANCE NO. 447 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTIONS 15.04; 15.08; 15.16; AND 15.20 OF THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1990 AMENDMENTS TO TITLES 26, 27, 28 AND 29 OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY BUILDING; ELECTRICAL; MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING CODES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 5.04.010 of ,the Irwindale Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 15.04.010 - ADOPTION OF CODE. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Building Code known and designated as the Uniform Building Code, as published in the 1990 Edition of the Los Angeles County Code (Title 26), published by Metropolitan News Enterprise effective September 30, 1990, such code shall be and become the Building Code of the City of Irwindale, regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings or structures in the collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such code, which are on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. SEC -1 -ON 2. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Irwindale Section 5.04.015, which is to read as follows: 15.04.015 - AMENDMENTS. County of Los Angeles Building Code, amendments to Title 26, County Ordinance No. 90-0126, more commonly known as "Exhibit A", is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 5.04.050 of the Irwindale Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 15.04.050 - FEES. The Current Los Angeles County Building Code Fees referred to in Title 26 are amended by amending said fees by two and a quarter (2.25) times the fees shown. A Building Permit and Plan Checking Fee Schedule calculated at the 2.25 Multiplier, more commonly known as "Exhibit B" is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 4. Section 5.08.010 of the Irwindale Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 15.08.010 - ADOPTION OF CODE. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Electrical Code known and designated as the Uniform Electrical Code as published in the 1990 Edition of the Los Angeles County Code (Title 27) published by Metropolitan News Enterprise effective September 30, 1990, such code shall be and become the Building Code of the City of Irwindale, regulating the installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and operation of electric wiring, connections, fixtures and other electrical appliances on premises within the City of Irwindale and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such code which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. Ordinance No. 447 "REVISED COPY" Page 2 SECTION 5. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Irwindale Section 5.08.015, which is to read as follows: 15.08.015 - AMENDMENTS. County of Los Angeles Electrical Code amendments to Title 27, County Ordinance No. 90-0127, more commonly known as "Exhibit C", is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 6. 15.08.025 - FEES. The Current Los Angeles County Electrical Code Fees referred to in Title 27 are amended by amending said fees by two and a quarter (2.25) times the fees shown. SECTION 7. 15.20.010 - ADOPTION OF CODE. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Plumbing Code known and designated as the Uniform Plumbing Code (Title 28), as published in the 1990 Edition of the Los Angeles County Code, published by Metropolitan News Enterprise effective September 30, 1990, such code shall be and become the Plumbing Code of the City of Irwindale and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such code, which are on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a pert hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. SECTION 8. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Irwindale Section 15.20.015., which is to read as follows: 15.20.015 - AMENDMENTS. County of Los Angeles Plumbing Code amendments to Title 28, County Ordinance No. 90-0128, more commonly known as "Exhibit D", is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 9. 15.20.035 - FEES. The Current Los Angeles County Plumbing Code Fees referred to in Title 28 are amended by amending said fees by two and a quarter (2.25) times the fees shown. SECTION 10. 15.16.010 - ADOPTION OF CODE. Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Mechanical Code known and designated as the Uniform Mechanical Code (Title 29), as published in the 1990 Edition of the Los Angeles County Code, published by Metropolitan News Enterprise effective September 30, 1990, such code shall be and become the Mechanical Code of the City of Irwindale and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such code, which are on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a pert hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance. SECTION 11. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Irwindale Section 15.16.015, which is to read as follows: 15.16.015 - AMENDMENTS. County of Los Angeles Mechanical Code amendments to Title 29, County Ordinance No. 90-0129, more commonly known as "Exhibit E", is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 12. 15.20.035 - FEES. The Current Los Angeles County Mechanical Code Fees referred to in Title 29 are amended by amending said fees by two and a quarter (2.25) times the fees shown. SECTION 13. The remaining provisions of Title 15 of the Irwindale Municipal Code shall remain in effect with appropriate reference changes. SECTION 14. The provisions of this ordinance insofar as they are substantially the same as provisions of Section 15.04.010 shall be construed as restatements and continuations and not as new enactments. All changes and modifications of the Uniform Building Code, 1987 Edition as amended by this ordinance are reasonably necessary because of local conditions. This finding is made pursuant to Section 17958 et seq of the State Health and Safety Code. Ordinance No. •447 "REVISED COPY" Page 3 SECTION 15.
