AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE TO ADHERE TO P.O.B.T. STANDARDS
FOR RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF PUBLIC SAFETY
DISPATCHERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Irwindale
declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State
of California pursuant to the provisions of California Penal Code
Section 13522.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Irwindale
hereby declares its intent to adhere to the standards for
recruitment and training of dispatchers as may be established by
the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training
(P.O.S.T.), while receiving any State aid pursuant to Chapter 1
of Title 4 of the California Penal Code.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Irwindale
hereby authorizes the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and
Training to make such inquiries as it may deem necessary in order
to verify that the City of Irwindale is adhering to the standards
for recruitment and training pertaining to public safety
dispatchers as may be established by said Commission.
Section 4. The City shall publish this Ordinance in
the manner required by law.

Irwindale, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Irwindale held on the 10th day of
December , 1992, and
was finally passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Irwindale held on the 14th day of January
199X3 by the following vote:
AYES: Miranda, J., Miranda, P., Breceda, Barbosa and Diaz
