AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE REPEALING CHAPTER 2.48 OF THE
IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE AND ADDING A NEW
CHAPTER 2.48 TO THE IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO CITY HOLIDAYS
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain
as follows:
Section Z. Chapter 2.48 of the Irwindale Municipal
Code hereby is repealed, in its entirety.
section 1. A new Chapter 2.48 hereby is added to the
Irwindale Municipal Code to read, in words and figures, as
follows:
"Chapter 2.48
"City Holidays
"Section 2.48.010 Establishment of City Holidays.
"All City holidays of the City of Irwindale shall
be designated by resolution of the City Council or
designated by a memorandum of understanding between the
City and any employee organization, said memorandum of
understanding to be approved by the City Council prior
to establishment of any holiday scheduled therein."
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published in the manner required by law.

Irwindale, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Irwindale held on the 13th day of May , 1993,
and was ;finally passed at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Irwindale on the 27th day of
1993, by the following vote:
