AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTION 17.52.010 OF THE
IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE (ZONING ORDINANCE) BY
ADDING SECTION 17.52.010.100.5 AUTHORIZING
VEHICLE TOWING FACILITIES IN THE M-1 (LIGHT
MANUFACTURING) ZONING DISTRICT SUBJECT TO THE
ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
CHAPTER 17.52 OF SAID CODE.
A. Recitals.
(i) The City Council of the City of Irwindale has
previously adopted the Municipal Code, including the Zoning
Ordinance, which establishes the zoning and development standards
for the City of Irwindale. Said Code has been, and may be
amended from time to time pursuant to law.
(ii) The Planning Commission of the City of Irwindale

has previously, lawfully conducted and concluded a duly noticed
public hearing, in full conformance to all lawful requirements,
and has recommended thereby the adoption of the Ordinance set
forth below.
(iii) The City Council of the City of Irwindale has,
prior to its action upon this Ordinance, conducted and concluded
a duly noticed public hearing, as required by law, with respect
to the adoption of this Ordinance.
(iv) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this
Ordinance have occurred.
B. Ordinance.
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain
as follows:

Section 1. In all respects as set forth in the
Recitals, Part A, of this Ordinance.
Section 2. The City Council hereby finds, determines
and concludes that the adoption of this Ordinance is
categorically exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, and the Guidelines
promulgated thereunder pursuant to Sections 15061(b)(3) and 15305
of Division 6 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations.
Section 3. Chapter 17 of the Irwindale Municipal Code
is hereby amended by the addition of a new Section
17.52.010.100.5 to read, in words and figures, as follows:
11100.5 Vehicle towing facilities, not a part of
service stations or automobile wrecking or dismantling
yards provided a conditional use permit for such use is
first obtained."
Section A. The City Clerk shall attest to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as
required by law.
