AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE ADDING SECTION 2.28.010 TO
CHAPTER 2.28 AND AMENDING SECTION 2.32.020A OF
CHAPTER 2.32 OF TITLE 2 OF THE IRWINDALE
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE APPOINTMENT
OF COMMISSIONERS.
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain
as follows:
Section 2.
A new Section 2.28.010 hereby is added to Chapter 2.28
of Title 2 of the Irwindale Municipal Code to read, in words and
figures, as follows:
"2.28.010. Appointment py Council.
"Each member of the Park and Recreation Commission
shall be nominated to fill a position on said Commission by
the. Mayor. Upon nomination by the Mayor; and approval
thereof by not less than three (3) members of the City
Council (including the Mayor) evidenced by a Resolution duly
introduced and passed, the person so nominated shall be
appointed to the Commission."
Section 2.
Section 2.32.020A of Chapter 2.32 of Title 2 of the
Irwindale Municipal Code hereby is amended to read, in words and
figures, as follows:
"2.32.020. Members = Appointment = Removal
Vacancies.
"A. The Planning Commission of the City of Irwindale
shall consist of five (5) members, each of whom shall be
nominated to fill a position on said commission by the
Mayor. Upon nomination by the Mayor, and approval thereof
by not less than three (3) members of the City Council
(including the Mayor) evidenced by a Resolution duly
introduced and passed, the person so nominated shall be
appointed to the Commission. No person shall be eligible

for appointment to the Planning Commission unless he or she
is a resident and a registered, qualified voter of the City
at the time of appointment. All all times during such
Commissioner's term of office he or she shall continue to be
a resident and a registered, qualified voter of the City."
Section 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the manner
prescribed by law.

was finally passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Irwindale held on the 31st day of March
1994, by the following vote. '
