AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF IRWINDALE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.24.010 AND
2.24.020 OF CHAPTER 2.24 OF TITLE 2 OF THE
IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO
OFFICIAL POLICE INSIGNIA
The City Council of the City of Irwindale does ordain
as follows:
Section .1: Section 2.24.010 of Chapter 2.24 of
Title 2 of the Irwindale Municipal Code hereby is amended to
read, in words and figures, as follows:
"2.24.010 Insignia Designated. The City adopts, as
the official insignia and identifying symbol of the Police
Department, the insignia depicted in § 2.24.020. Said
insignia shall be a depiction of the badge of the City
Police Department consisting of a silver shield device with
the Great Seal of the State of California, in color,
centrally mounted, surrounding by the words `City of
Irwindale, California,' in blue lettering. The fluting
around the edge of the badge shall be gold in color with the
words `Police Officer' in blue lettering set forth upon a
gold colored semicircular strip at the top. Below the seal
shall be inscribed with the words `Irwindale Police' in blue
letters on a gold colored, curved band."

Section a. Section 2.24.020 of Chapter 2.24 of
Title 2 of the Irwindale Municipal Code hereby is amended to
read, in words and figures, as follows:
"2.24.020 Facsimile. A facsimile of the official
insignia and identifying symbol of the Irwindale Police
Department is set forth below:
Section 1. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published as required by law.

I, David A. Caretto, City Clerk of the City of
Irwindale, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Irwindale held on the 15th day of December , 1994, and
was finally passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Irwindale on the 9th day of January 1995:,
by the following vote.
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: J. Tapia, R. Chavez, P. Miranda and
J. Miranda
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
