AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 6.04 OF THE
IRWINDALE MUNICIPAL CODE (ANIMAL REGULATIONS)
WHEREAS, the City of Irwindale (the„ City") is requesting that Chapter 6.04 of
the Irwindale Municipal Code be amended so that it is consistent with the Los Angeles
County Code in terms of animal facility grading; and
WHEREAS, the City (the "Applicant") has made application (the "Application") for
an amendment to Chapter 6.04 of the Irwindale Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 2004, the Planning Commission duly adopted
Resolution No. 432(04) PC recommending that the City Council adopt an ordinance
approving the proposed Amendment to Chapter 6.04 of the Irwindale Municipal Code;
and
WHEREAS, this City Council has heretofore conducted a duly noticed public
hearing, as required by Law, concerning the potential adoption of this Amendment to
Chapter 6.04 of the Irwindale Municipal Code and said public hearing was concluded
prior to the adoption of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IRWINDALE
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 6.04 of the Irwindale Municipal Code is hereby amended as
follows (added text in boldface type):
Section 6.04.015 Amendments. County of Los Angeles Animal Control
Code, amendments to Title 10, County Ordinance No. 90-0137 and
County Ordinance No. 2004-0036, more commonly known as "Exhibit A"
is hereby adopted by reference and on file in the office of the city clerk.
SECTION 2: The Deputy City Clerk shall certify as to the passage and adoption of this
Ordinance.
