Records also show that, during 2009, the park was locked 99 times, and all four calls for service were answered. The department has also tried to conduct three or four site checks during each 12 -hour shift, plus it conducts nightly helicopter patrols. Calls to dispatch an officer to lock the parks are automatically generated every night. He suggested encouraging residents to take an active approach to report suspicious activities. He reminded all about the City's $1,000 vandalism reporting reward program.
