The crowd enjoyed the music
of the "Mariachi Sonora" and
the songs by two local
singers, Audry Leyva and
Erika Rojo. The Hawaiian
Dance Performance was also
enjoyed and was well
received. The special
performance by "Tierra" with
another local talent from La
Puente, Rocky Padilla, was
very popular with the
audience. During Rocky's
performance, T-shirts and
CD's of the performer's music
were handed out to some of
the audience.
Dan reported that the
swimming pool brought in $400
that day, and with the ticket
sales of $2000 for the Inter -
Activities, he was very
pleased with the results. The
Inter -Activities proved to be
very popular and Dan received
many compliments on them.
Commissioner Chico stated she
was glad to see the use of
the Inter -Activities and
thanked the city for the
great celebration.
BOOTHS Commissioner Fraijo also

Commissioner Chico reminded
Mr. Posada to check the
drainage in the new showers.
He assured her that he would
and mentioned that he would
be meeting with Mr. Bob
Moller regarding all the

COMMUNICATION Nellie Tapia of 15830 Hidalgo
Street wanted to lodge a
complaint with regard to a
parking problem she had in the
library parking lot during the
fiesta. She was asked by the
police to move her car because
the parking spaces had been
designated for the band
entertaining at the fiesta. In
years past, she and other senior
citizens had been allowed to
park at the library to unload
their merchandise and stay
parked during the time they sold
their merchandise. She was
dismayed and became very upset
when she was asked to move her
car at a most inconvenient time.
Chairman Diaz apologized for any
inconvenience she had
experienced and assured Mrs.
Tapia this matter would be
looked into by having it placed
onto the agenda for the next
meeting.
There being no further
business, Chairman Diaz
adjourned the meeting at 6:50
p.m..
