MANAGER DIAZ internal budget process for the next fiscal year and will bring forth the
recreation budget at the appropriate time. There are no recreation
cuts anticipated.
VICE CHAIR FRAIJO Vice Chair Fraijo asked how the elimination of redevelopment
agencies has affected Parks & Recreation programs and whether
other programs similar to the redevelopment agency will surface, to
which Assistant City Manager Diaz advised that there are currently
too many unknowns at this moment and that any substitute programs
are still a long way off. She added that, if agencies entered into
obligations before they were eliminated, said projects can proceed.
