The Irwindale PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION met in special session at the above time
and place.
ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Erlinda Duran, Marguerite S. Lopez,
Belen Zepeda; Vice Chair Paula Fraijo; Chair Dan Diaz
Also present: Dan Grijalva, Recreation Manager; and Armando
Hegdahl, Records Technician

At 10:00 a.m., the Commission departed from the Council Chambers

to 235 Entrada Drive, Santa Monica, CA, 90402. Upon arriving and

observing the permeable pavers on the sidewalk, the Commission

determined that the pavers would not be a good fit for the proposed
improvements for Irwindale Park. While there, they noticed that the
pavers have become discolored and have become chipped over a
relatively short amount of time, and the commissioners noted that the
pavers would probably not work well in the long run. The
Commission unanimously agreed that the permeable pavers should
not be used at Irwindale Park.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to conduct, the meeting was
adjourned at 12:00 p.m. J4
